CLAUDIA GORMAN

As a Licensed Master Social Worker and bilingual clinician fluent in English and Spanish, I bring more than twenty-five years of experience walking alongside individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging moments. My career has taken me across hospitals, schools, mental health facilities, public health programs, and community organizations—settings that have shaped my understanding of how deeply emotional, social, and practical challenges intertwine. I believe every person deserves a therapist who meets them with compassion, clarity, and grounded support, and my work is rooted in helping clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to move forward.

Throughout my career, I have supported clients facing stress, trauma, medical concerns, family conflict, and barriers to accessing care. My background includes extensive experience educating and referring individuals to community resources, conducting needs assessments, coordinating care, and working closely with adults with disabilities. These roles taught me that healing rarely happens in isolation; it requires attention to the whole person—their environment, relationships, strengths, and struggles. Whether I am helping someone navigate a crisis, supporting a child through emotional challenges, or guiding a parent through a difficult transition, my focus is always on creating a safe, steady space where growth becomes possible.

I work with adults who are managing anxiety, stress, chronic illness, living with HIV/AIDS, ADHD, Autism or major life transitions; children and teens who need a supportive place to process emotions and behavior changes; parents seeking guidance and tools; and individuals facing medical, mental-health, or social-service-related barriers. I also have deep experience working with diverse cultural communities, including Spanish-speaking families, and I understand the cultural nuances that shape identity, communication, and family dynamics.

My therapeutic approach is warm, practical, and grounded in real-world experience. Over the years, I have collaborated with physicians, nurses, case managers, therapists, and nutritionists—teams that required trust, empathy, and strong clinical judgment. I bring that same level of care into every session. Clients often share that they feel genuinely heard and supported, not judged or rushed. I believe therapy should feel like a partnership, where we work together to understand what you’re carrying and identify the tools that will help you move forward.

As a bilingual therapist, I offer sessions in English or Spanish, ensuring that language is never a barrier to receiving meaningful care. I am committed to honoring each client’s cultural background, lived experiences, and personal strengths.
If you are seeking therapy for yourself or your child, I would be honored to support you. You do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone. Healing, clarity, and confidence are possible—and together, we can take the next step toward the life you deserve.
