JUEQUITA PLATT
Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what to do next. Whether you are navigating a difficult transition, struggling with negative thoughts or patterns, or simply need a safe place to talk through what you are experiencing, you do not have to figure everything out on your own.
My approach to therapy is compassionate, solution-focused, and client-centered. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. Rather than telling you what to do, I work alongside you to explore what is happening in your life, identify what may be getting in the way, and develop practical strategies that fit your needs, values, and goals.
I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and stages of life because every person's story is unique. In our sessions, we may work on strengthening coping skills, challenging unhelpful patterns, building resilience, navigating life changes, or simply creating space to slow down and gain a different perspective. I want you to leave therapy not only feeling supported, but also with tools you can use in your everyday life.
I often think of therapy as offering a “hand up”—support that helps you recognize the strengths and abilities you may already have within you. Sometimes we simply need someone beside us to help us see those strengths more clearly and learn how to use them when life becomes difficult.
If you are looking for a therapist who will listen without judgment, collaborate with you, and help you develop practical tools for moving forward, I would be honored to support you. You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can begin exactly where you are.
