TRACINA PORTER
With more than 13 years of experience across healthcare, behavioral health, hospital, and community settings, I work with children, teens, adults, and families through many of life’s challenges. You may be a parent worried about your child, a young person navigating emotions, relationships, or identity, or an adult feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of what comes next.
I support clients experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship and family concerns, self-esteem challenges, grief and loss, and chronic or complex health concerns. I believe you are more than the challenges that bring you to therapy. My goal is to understand the whole person, recognize the strengths you already have, and help you create meaningful, realistic change.
My approach is warm, affirming, and straightforward. Therapy with me is a place where you can talk openly and feel supported without judgment, while also receiving honest feedback and gentle challenges when they can help you grow. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, we’ll work together to develop practical coping skills, healthier patterns, and strategies that make sense for your life.
I also have extensive experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals and supporting people affected by HIV, sexual health concerns, identity exploration, stigma, and related life experiences. I strive to provide an affirming environment where every client feels respected and comfortable being fully themselves.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out for support. Whether you’re seeking therapy for yourself, your child, or your family, I’ll meet you where you are. Together, we can better understand what’s getting in the way, build on what’s already working, and help you move toward the life and relationships you want.
